WORDPRESS HOSTING IN MINNEAPOLIS

A dependable home. A person you can call.

I help Minneapolis and Minnesota businesses manage their WordPress hosting with a focus on the website as a whole. We’ll review your current setup and agree on the hosting and support your business needs.

THE WORK BEHIND THE WEBSITE.

Website hosting.
SSL. Details handled.

Your domainWordPress hostingYour websiteYour web partner

A home for every part of your website.

01Done-for-you WordPress hosting

Your WordPress website is hosted on my dedicated server provided through WP Engine. I handle the hosting setup and give you an experienced point of contact.

02Caching with performance in mind

Advanced caching is configured to help pages load efficiently. Images, plugins and third-party tools also affect performance, so we look at the website as a whole.

03Core & plugin updates

WordPress core and plugin updates are handled as required for compatibility and security. Larger changes or work beyond routine updates are scoped separately.

04SSL installed & configured

An SSL certificate is installed and configured for your website, so visitors can connect over HTTPS.

05A supported PHP environment

Your WordPress website runs on a supported PHP version. Compatibility with the site’s theme, plugins and custom functionality is considered when planning version changes.

06Storage that fits your website

We review your website’s storage needs as part of the hosting setup. If those requirements change in the future, pricing may need to be updated.

EXPERIENCE, APPLIED TO YOUR BUSINESS.

Hosting is a business decision, too.

Your website might bring in inquiries, answer customer questions, or support the way your team works. The hosting behind it deserves the same care as the design people see.

I handle your WordPress hosting on a dedicated server provided through WP Engine, with someone you can contact about the website as a whole. From the hosting setup to SSL and required software updates, I connect the technical pieces for you.

HOW WE GET THERE.

A thoughtful move.
A clear plan.

01

Review your current setup

Start with the website, hosting account, domain, email connections, and anything the business relies on. Make the dependencies visible before changing them.

02

Plan and check the move

Agree on the destination, migration scope, and checks. Review the site in its new environment before scheduling the live change.

03

Connect the ongoing support

Decide who handles hosting, software updates, and everyday website requests. Keep the responsibilities clear as the website evolves.

A LITTLE MORE CLARITY.

Hosting + SSL.
Starting at $825 per year.

Done-for-you WordPress hosting through WP Engine, with SSL installation, caching and required core and plugin updates.

Your domain

Your business’s web address. Registration, renewal, and account ownership need to stay clear, even when someone helps manage the technical settings.

Your hosting

The environment that runs your website. Its configuration, available tools, and support need to suit the site you actually operate.

Your website care

Required core and plugin updates are included with hosting. Broader content changes, troubleshooting and ongoing website improvements can be covered by a monthly maintenance agreement. Larger projects are quoted separately.

CHOOSING MANAGED WORDPRESS HOSTING.

The right host.
The right questions.

For client WordPress websites, I recommend WP Engine or another managed WordPress provider. Start with the work your website does, then compare the support, limits and ongoing responsibilities that come with the plan.

01

What managed hosting should cover

Managed WordPress providers focus on operating an environment for WordPress, but the term does not define a universal package. Ask which server, platform, security and update responsibilities the provider handles and which remain with your website partner.

For a small business, the practical question is who will help when the website needs attention. Hosting support and application-level work can overlap, but editing pages, fixing custom functionality and reviewing plugin compatibility may require a separate maintenance scope.

02

Match the plan to the actual website

A brochure website, a membership site and an online store can put different demands on hosting. Review the site’s traffic patterns, storage, forms, integrations and any checkout or logged-in activity. Ask how the provider measures usage, handles busy periods and charges for exceeding limits.

Check the current WordPress requirements, supported software versions and any provider-specific plugin or configuration restrictions. A headline visitor allowance is only one part of deciding whether a plan fits.

03

Evaluate performance with your own pages

Compare a representative version of your website in a suitable test environment. Check important service pages, forms and, where relevant, the checkout or account area. Keep the content, configuration and test conditions comparable when evaluating providers.

A generic speed score or a benchmark from years ago will not tell you how your current site will behave. Large images, third-party scripts and application choices can affect the experience too. Agree on which problems hosting can address and which need website work.

04

Ask how recovery and staging work

Confirm what backups include, how often they run, how long copies remain available, who can access them and how a restore is tested. Review the recovery process before relying on it. My backup guide explains the questions to work through.

Ask whether a separate staging environment is available and what its limitations are. A test copy should allow useful checks without sending real customer messages or processing live transactions. Plan how changes move back to the live site and how recent data is protected.

05

Compare the complete ongoing cost

Look beyond an introductory rate. Include renewal pricing, usage limits, any required add-ons, migration work, and the support your website needs alongside hosting. Compare providers over the same period and with the same responsibilities included.

Keep domain and email arrangements visible in that comparison. They may be separate from managed WordPress hosting. Your business should control its accounts and understand how to retrieve the website and its data if the arrangement changes.

06

Plan the move and the people involved

Before switching, inventory the website, URLs, DNS, email connections, integrations and access. Test the migrated site, forms and important workflows before the live change. Establish a backup and recovery plan, then check the site again after the switch.

I can review WP Engine and other managed WordPress options with you and help coordinate the agreed setup and migration. We will choose based on your website and support needs, with a clear scope for hosting versus ongoing maintenance. We’ll compare current plans, evidence from your website and the people responsible for keeping it running.

GOOD QUESTIONS. USEFUL ANSWERS.

Let’s make
the details clearer.

Ask me about your website

Can you move my existing WordPress site?

Yes. We’ll first review the current site and hosting, identify dependencies, and scope the migration. Forms, important pages, and other business functions need to be checked before the live switch.

Can you help with my domain name?

Yes. I can help with registration choices, DNS, and connecting the domain to your website. Your business should retain clear ownership of its domain and registrar account.

What is included with hosting?

Done-for-you WordPress hosting through WP Engine, advanced caching, required WordPress core and plugin updates for compatibility and security, and an SSL certificate installed and configured. Broader website requests and improvements can be covered by a monthly maintenance agreement; larger projects are quoted separately.

Can you host a WooCommerce website?

A WordPress store can be part of the conversation. We’ll review the store, checkout, integrations, and support requirements before recommending an environment and migration approach.

Will a hosting move affect my email?

It depends on where your email is hosted and how DNS is configured. We’ll review those connections before changing records so the website move accounts for your email setup.

What will hosting cost?

Managed WordPress hosting starts at $825/year. We’ll review your website, hosting requirements and any migration work before agreeing on the final quote. If storage requirements change in the future, pricing may need to be updated.
